• 2005 DCPCS Fall Enrollment Audit - Summary*

School principals were entitled to request an appeal of the auditors’ findings from the appropriate chartering authority.  If the evidence warranted a hearing, school principals had the opportunity to present their position and provide relevant information to the appropriate authority.  The chartering authority then issued a report listing all students for whom an appeal was granted and for whom an appeal was disapproved.  The SEO compiled the appeals results together with the independent auditor’s findings to produce the 2005 Post-Audit Enrollment figures. The SEO reports the Post-Audit Enrollment figures to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer which uses them to calculate the budget for the DC Public Charter Schools.  The 2005 Post-Audit Enrollment figures reported by the SEO are the official enrollment figures for the DC Public Charter Schools.

The tables in the attachments below detail the auditors’ counts by school, and by type of school. Attachments 2, 6, 10, 11, 12 and 13 show the results of the appeals process in addition to the auditors’ count.
