In partnership with the 21st Century School Fund and Friends of Choice in Urban Schools (FOCUS), this website helps parents and other citizens access information about K-12 public schools in DC. It is also part of a research study, funded by the National Science Foundation, to explore how parents and students make choices about which school to attend.
  • DC VOICE is a collaborative of education activists committed to ensuring every child in Washington, DC a high quality public education. Along with community-building and professional development, the organization focuses on the availability of good data and current research to inform the process of sustained, systemic school reform. DC VOICE also informs and empowers community members to critically examine data and use it to initiate and monitor reform at the classroom, school and district levels. The website allows you to download several research/policy papers, including one about the current reconstitution, or transformation, of nine DC public schools.
